About the Platform
What is Drope?
Drope is a global storytelling and entertainment community where writers, video creators, and audiences connect through serialized fiction, Breakers, and original episodic vertical video series. Think of it as the place where books, social media, and short-form video storytelling come together — mobile-first, multilingual, and built for the next generation of readers and creators.
Is Drope free to use?
Yes. Reading, writing, and publishing on Drope are free. There are no paywalls to access stories, and no cost to publish your own. Drope may display relevant, non-intrusive advertising to sustain the platform. Premium features may be introduced in the future.
Who is Drope for?
Drope is for readers who love serialized fiction, authors publishing their own stories, video creators launching episodic vertical series, and anyone who wants to be part of an active storytelling community. The platform is open to anyone aged 13 and older, anywhere in the world.
What languages does Drope support?
Drope's interface is available in English, Hebrew, Arabic, Spanish, French, and German. Full right-to-left (RTL) layout is supported for Hebrew and Arabic. More languages are coming soon.
Reading & Discovery
How do I find stories on Drope?
The home feed surfaces stories and Breakers from authors you follow and personalized recommendations. You can also browse by genre, search by title or author, and explore curated shelves featuring trending, new, and staff-picked Dropes.
What is a Drope Series?
A Drope Series is an original episodic vertical video series — think mobile-first short-form episodes organized into a coherent story with a beginning, middle, and cliffhangers. Creators publish episodes episode by episode and viewers can follow and binge an entire series on their phone.
What is a Breaker?
A Breaker is a short-form post — an announcement, creative flash, behind-the-scenes moment, or quick update. Think of it like a tweet that lives inside a storytelling platform. Breakers appear alongside long-form Dropes in the feed so you never miss a beat between chapter releases.
Can I track my reading progress?
Yes. Drope saves your reading progress per story so you can pick up exactly where you left off. Your reading history and followed stories are synced to your account across devices.

Can I publish in my own language?

What content is allowed on Drope?
Drope supports General Audience content suitable for all ages, and Mature (17+) content for adult themes. All content must follow our Community Guidelines. Content that sexually exploits minors, promotes violence against real people, or constitutes targeted harassment is not permitted under any rating.
Can I add characters and a cast to my story?

Can I add images and video to my story?
